Jaco Beach

Aside from San Jose, the nation's capital, Jaco Beach might be the most popular town in the country. Not typical of the beach towns the dot the coast line of Costa Rica, Jaco has garnered more of a tourist and party reputation, earning the nick name "The Miami of Costa Rica". Situated directly in the middle of the the west coast of Costa Rica, Jaco beach is it a bit more than a one hour from San Jose, Escazu and the international airport. And traveling north or south from Jaco puts you in any one of a dozen fantastic Costa Rica destinations. Regardless of it's reputation, it's still a small beach town, but with lots to do with it's casinos and resorts, restaurants and nightlife and lots of shops. And of course, more to do that you could possibly fit into 1 vacation.
